Sophia Fossali is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the Investment Funds Group and the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Practice.

Sophia represents private equity sponsors on investment fund formation, investment structuring, marketing and related transactions. She also advises clients on a full spectrum of environmental, social, and governance and sustainability-related regulatory and transactional matters, including M&A transactions, capital markets offerings, and corporate governance guidance.

Sophia maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting small businesses and nonprofit entities with corporate governance and other operational concerns, and representing individuals seeking asylum and other forms of immigration relief.

Prior to joining Latham, Sophia served as a fellow at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and was a Law Clerk at the World Bank, Legal Vice Presidency. She is also a trained mediator.
