Sophia Fossali is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, and a member of the Investment Funds Group and the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Practice.

Sophia represents private equity sponsors in investment fund formation, investment structuring, marketing, and related transactions. She also advises clients on a full spectrum of sustainability-related regulatory and transactional matters.

Sophia maintains an active pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking asylum and other forms of immigration relief, as well as victims of domestic violence in partnership with Sanctuary for Families and New York Legal Assistance Group.

Prior to joining Latham, Sophia served as a fellow at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and was a Law Clerk at the World Bank, Legal Vice Presidency. She is also a trained mediator.
