Simon Cooke represents bulge-bracket banks and other lenders on leveraged finance transactions, with a focus on high-yield debt offerings, preferred stock offerings, and secured and convertible debt instruments.

Simon draws on extensive capital markets knowledge to advise financial institutions and lenders on a full spectrum of complex financing transactions, including:

  • Private credit and direct lending transactions
  • Debt restructurings and liability management exercises
  • Commitment papers and credit facilities

His experience spans multiple industries, including energy and infrastructure, financial services, healthcare and life sciences, retail and consumer products, and technology.

Simon brings a global perspective to his work, leveraging experience practicing law in Australia and London, including as an associate in Latham’s London office. Before rejoining Latham, Simon served as counsel at other global law firms, where he led leveraged finance, private credit, and capital markets practices.
