Scarlett (Shanqing) Zhou is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Structured Finance Practice.
Scarlett represents banks, issuers, investors, and lenders in a variety of structured asset-based financing transactions, focusing on securitization, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and the financing of non-traditional assets. Prior to joining Latham, she worked in the structured credit practice of another international law firm.
Scarlett received her Juris Doctor degree from Cornell Law School, where she served as a research assistant in the Gender Justice Clinic and as a student attorney in the LGBT Practicum. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honors with Distinction) in Mathematics and Philosophy from Queen’s University in 2020. Prior to her legal career, Scarlett was a published writer and poet.
Scarlett maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in asylum, name change, and sexual violence matters.
