Shannon Cheng is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins and member of the firm's Corporate Department and M&A practice.
Shannon primarily handles corporate representation, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and transactional matters.
Shannon advises public and private companies and private equity and venture capital firms in the technology, life sciences, healthcare, aerospace, hospitality, and real estate industries.
In addition to her commercial work, Shannon serves as an office leader of the Women Enriching Business (WEB) Committee, maintains a pro bono practice representing survivors of domestic violence, and is an active contributor to Latham’s recruiting and inclusion programs. Shannon also serves on the board of directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County.
Shannon received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, Shannon served on the executive boards of the Jessup Moot Court Program and the Domestic Violence Project.
Prior to law school, Shannon received her BA as a Trustee Scholar from the University of Southern California, where she graduated summa cum laude. Shannon served as a captain of the USC Trial Advocacy Team.
