Shalev Netanel is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins, where he focuses on litigation and strategic counseling in the areas of copyright, platform liability, and artificial intelligence.

Shalev received his JD in 2022 from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, with a certificate in Law and Technology. While in law school, Shalev served on the Berkeley Technology Law Journal’s executive board and participated in the Samuelson Law, Technology, and Public Policy Clinic. He won the Aldo J. Test Award in the Berkeley Technology Law Journal’s writing competition and received Prosser Prizes in Topics in Privacy/Security and Video Game Law.

Before joining Latham, Shalev was a law clerk with the Federal Trade Commission and a judicial extern for Judge R. Gary Klausner of the US District Court for the Central District of California.
