Samantha Paxton Koppel

Samantha Koppel is an associate at the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. She is a dedicated member of the Litigation and Trial Department, specializing in White Collar Defense and Investigations.

Ms. Koppel’s expertise lies in defending clients in white collar criminal and civil actions, internal investigations, and antitrust litigations. Her recent experience includes representing healthcare clients in False Claims Act whistleblower actions and investigations, including those that implicate the Anti-Kickback Statute. She has handled such matters for hospitals, provider groups, ambulatory care centers, skilled nursing facilities, software companies servicing the healthcare industry, and insurance providers.

Ms. Koppel is also deeply committed to pro bono and in that capacity has represented both individuals and non-profit organizations in a range of matters. She has also written on the antitrust liability of certain medical school practices, published in The Michigan State Journal of Business & Securities Law.
