Ryan Gura represents institutional lenders and alternative real estate investment funds in commercial real estate finance transactions.

Ryan advises clients through complex commercial real estate transactions across all asset classes involving the origination and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans (including construction loans and bridge loans), the sale of loans on the secondary market, and the pledge of loans in connection with back leverage financing. 

Before joining Latham, Ryan practiced at another leading law firm.

Ryan’s experience includes representing:

  • A non-bank lender in connection with developing their lending platform through a series of transactions that closed multiple bridge mortgage loans secured by properties in various locations across the United States with an aggregate value of US$600 million*
  • A lending consortium in the origination of a US$257 million multi-property hotel loan with respect to hotels in Beverly Hills, New York City, and Washington, D.C.*
  • An institutional lender in the origination of a US$187 million construction loan secured by a mixed-use development in Dallas, Texas*
  • A private investment fund in the origination of a US$173 million mortgage loan secured by a residential property in Los Angeles, California*
  • An institutional lender in the origination of a US$111 million construction loan secured by a mixed-use development in Miami, Florida*
  • An international bank, as lender, in connection with the structuring and ongoing advances under a US$210 million warehouse line*
  • A regional bank as lender in connection with a US$175 million secured revolving credit facility to a joint venture between a private equity fund and a local developer/operator to provide short term bridge to agency financing to fund the acquisition of ‘build to rent’ developments*
