Rob Thompson advises clients on large-scale, cross-border project development, financing, and M&A in the energy and infrastructure industry.

Rob represents lenders, export credit agencies (ECAs), development finance institutions (DFIs), sponsors, and borrowers on projects with an Asia nexus.

He regularly guides clients through a full spectrum of traditional and novel financing structures, including ECA-backed and private capital financings, for a range of projects involving:

Rob also represents energy and infrastructure companies and financial sponsors in mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions. He brings an international perspective to clients’ most complex cross-border deals, drawing on experience handling matters across APAC, Europe, MENA, and the Americas.
