Ms. Hong advises on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and other general corporate and commercial matters.

Ms. Hong’s experience includes advising:

  • TPG on the sale of all its shares in Singapore Life Holdings Pte Ltd (Singlife), to one of Singlife’s substantial shareholders, Sumitomo Life Insurance Company
  • SATS Ltd on its acquisition of Worldwide Flight Services, the world’s largest air cargo handling firm, from an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P 
  • Princeton Digital Group, a Pan-Asia data center company on its US$350 million late-stage venture capital investment from Mubadala Investment Company, Warburg Pincus, and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board
  • Warburg Pincus on the strategic merger of two of its existing portfolio companies, D&J China and New Ease China, two of the leading new economy infrastructure platforms in China, and its related equity financing
  • Pearl Holding III Limited, a sponsor-backed manufacturer and distributor of precision plastic injection moulds, in its restructuring of US$175 million senior secured notes due 2022 through a Cayman scheme of arrangement in conjunction with a refinancing of its senior secured revolving credit facility
  • Tencent on its US$1.38 billion take-private of Leyou Technologies, an international game development and distribution company, by way of a scheme of arrangement
  • A consortium comprising TPG, Singapore Life (SingLife), Sumitomo Life Insurance Company, and others on a transaction to combine SingLife with Aviva Singapore. Valuing the combined Singlife and Aviva Singapore entities at S$3.2 billion, the deal marks one of the largest in the insurance sector in Southeast Asia and the largest in Singapore
  • Fulu Holdings, China’s largest third-party virtual service provider, on its US$115 million IPO of shares on the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange
  • The underwriters in Bank of Guizhou Co., Ltd’s HK$5.46 billion initial public offering of H Shares listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong
  • The underwriters in Alphamab Oncology's HK$1.8 billion initial public offering of shares listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong
