Richard Cantoral is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Prior to joining the firm full-time, Richard was a summer associate in the New York office.

Richard earned his JD from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as the President of the Law School Student Senate and Treasurer of the Latinx Law Students Association. Richard was also an advanced clinician in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic and Community Enterprise Clinic, where he served the Metro-Detroit community on a variety of matters ranging from tax controversies to small business formation.

Prior to law school, Richard worked at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he was an associate in the Asset Management Compliance and Financial Crime Compliance groups. His work focused on fixed income, anti-bribery, banking, and know-your-customer regulations.
