Renatta Gorski advises a wide range of clients in class, derivative, shareholder, and individual litigation involving breaches of fiduciary duty, securities fraud, and other related issues.

Renatta primarily represents public and private companies in securities class actions and stockholder derivative actions, as well as in complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract disputes.

Renatta maintains an active pro bono practice, representing students with disabilities and victims of domestic violence. She is also a former member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.

During her time in law school, Renatta spent a semester working as an intern at the Commodities Futures Trading Commission in New York City.

Renatta’s experience includes:

  • Won first-round dismissal with prejudice of securities fraud class action against Sotera Health Company in connection with statements about regulatory compliance, ongoing litigation risks, and efforts to control emissions
  • Won appellate affirmance after three dismissals in trial court of breach-of-fiduciary claims against Baxter International and its in-house counsel following internal investigation of former executive
  • Successfully opposing admission of certain of the SEC’s experts’ testimony in securities fraud case against an investment management firm
  • Won third-round dismissal with prejudice of securities fraud class action against Beyond Meat in connection with statements about its quick-service restaurant partnerships
  • Won dismissal of securities fraud class action against Maravai Lifesciences Holdings in connection with restatement of financials
  • Successfully represented Walmart and individual officers in achieving dismissal of 10(b)(5) securities litigation, affirmed in Third Circuit
  • Currently representing a major American multinational automaker in a securities class action filed in the Eastern District of Michigan in connection with statements relating to the company’s quality assurance and warranty reserves, as well as in five follow-on derivative lawsuits and response to multiple Section 220 demands relating to the same issues in these lawsuits
