Rebecca Angelini is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ London office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. Ms. Angelini is a barrister representing clients in both international arbitration and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Angelini represents a broad range of clients across a multitude of sectors and has extensive experience providing strategic advice to clients in international, high-value, and complex disputes.

Ms. Angelini’s international arbitration experience includes representing or advising clients in respect of arbitrations under the institutional rules of all major institutions and ad hoc arbitrations and she has considerable experience as an advocate in international arbitration matters.

Ms. Angelini has been involved in a range of high-profile cases which have reached the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court and a number of complex commercial litigation cases.

Ms. Angelini also frequently acts for and advises charities and non-governmental organizations on a pro bono basis in respect of a wide range of disputes.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Angelini undertook pupillage at a leading commercial chancery chambers, where she worked on a broad range of international commercial disputes with a particular focus on civil fraud, company law, public international law, contractual disputes, and banking.

Ms. Angelini graduated from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours and is a University of Cambridge, King’s College, Scholar and a recipient of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn Denning Scholarship.

  • An international mining corporation in a cross-border commercial arbitration concerning the allegedly fraudulent appropriation of assets by governmental authorities; proceedings were accompanied by a related ICSID investment treaty arbitration*
  • A group of Russian ceramic companies in a commercial arbitration concerning the allegedly fraudulent misappropriation of commercial assets*
  • Shareholders of a Bulgarian telecommunications company before the English High Court in respect of the allegedly fraudulent appropriation of shareholder assets*
  • A client in a multi-million Euro claim before the English High Court regarding allegedly unlawful dividend distributions*
  • A client in a complex financial dispute before the Court of Appeal concerning a wide range of issues including bribery, conflict of interest, and fraudulent misrepresentation*
  • A client in proceedings before the English High Court regarding recognition of a foreign insolvency under the Cross-Border Insolvency Regulations (CBIR)*
