Ransel (Rand) Potter is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Rand represents private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and strategic investors in leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-outs, and joint ventures. His practice also includes representing corporate issuers and investment banks in public and private offerings of debt, equity and equity-linked securities, and advising on general corporate and securities law matters.  

Rand has experience advising clients in a wide range of sectors, including energy and infrastructure, healthcare, insurance, financial services, industrials, manufacturing, consumer products, real estate, and franchising.

During law school, Rand served as an associate managing editor of the St. John’s Law Review
