Raghav Bajaj leads clients at all stages of contested proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and serves as co-chair of Latham´s PTAB Practice.

Raghav leverages his sophisticated understanding of the technology underlying his clients’ businesses to represent both petitioners and patent owners in:

  • Inter partes reviews (IPRs)
  • Post-grant reviews
  • Appeals, including to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
  • District Court litigation involving invalidity arguments

A recognized leader in the patent bar, Raghav is a member of the Austin Yeakel Intellectual Property Inn of Court. He is also a board member and former chair of the South Asian Bar Association of Austin. 

Before joining Latham, he was a partner at another global law firm.

Raghav’s experience includes representing:

  • GoSecure in asserting that CrowdStrike infringed on two of GoSecure’s patents
  • Horkos in defensive patent litigation filed by Magic Labs in the District of Delaware 
  • Serendia and Synkloud Technologies in an intellectual property rights case before the International Trade Commission
  • Kolon, a Korean chemical and textile manufacturing company that develops products ranging from tire cords and industrial yarn to processed films and IT chemical materials, in a pending suit against competitors Hyosung Advanced Materials Corp. and Hyosung USA, Inc. for patent infringement of Kolon’s patented manufacturing methods of hybrid tire cords in the Central District of California
  • Recor in parallel proceedings at the PTAB and in patent litigation against Medtronic entities
  • Orca in a complex patent litigation case against competitor Wiz, alleging Wiz infringes six of Orca’s patents through operation of its cloud security platform and related technology
  • Twitter/X in successfully challenging the validity of video streaming and online advertising patents before the PTAB, and in connection with appeals from such proceedings before the Federal Circuit*
  • Google in successfully challenging the validity of online advertising patents before the PTAB*
  • Unified Patents, as petitioner, in successfully challenging the validity of numerous patents covering diverse subject matter and appeals from those proceedings before the PTAB*
