Rachel Klein is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Klein represents public and private companies, private equity firms, and strategic investors in a range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic investments, and professional sports franchise investments, acquisitions, and sales. 

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Klein was a summer associate in the New York office. While at Duke Law, Ms. Klein was the vice president of the Business Law Society.

Ms. Klein’s experience includes advising:

  • TPG in the establishment of Untitled Entertainment, a new talent management and representation company, and its initial investment in Untitled Entertainment
  • Carlyle in the joint venture investment in National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Seattle Reign FC
  • KKR in the sale of a majority stake in Chord Music Partners, a pure-play catalog of music intellectual property including The Weeknd, OneRepublic, David Guetta, Lorde, Diplo, ZZ Top, John Legend and more
  • Mark Cuban in sale of the controlling interest in the Dallas Mavericks to the Adelson and Dumont families
  • Diamond Baseball Holdings, a Silver Lake portfolio company, in the acquisition of over 20 MLB Professional Development League Clubs
  • Endeavor in the acquisition of multiple MLB Professional Development League Clubs and the creation of Diamond Baseball Holdings and subsequent sale of Diamond Baseball Holdings to Silver Lake
  • Dyal Capital in an investment in the Atlanta Hawks
  • RedBird Capital Partners in the formation of EverPass Media, a joint-venture with the NFL
  • Authentic Brands Group in its acquisition of Boardriders (Quicksilver, Billabong)
  • Leeds Equity Partners in the carve-out acquisition of Compliance Learning, Checkpoint Learning, and West LegalEdcenter, continuing education platforms, from Thomson Reuters
  • Leeds Equity Partners in the sale of Scaled Agile, a provider of software and systems development consulting services
