Priya Purohit is a litigation associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins. She represents clients in government investigations, white collar civil and criminal defense, and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Purohit maintains an active pro bono practice, representing numerous clients in cases related to immigration, refugee rights, prisoner rights, special education, and systemic legal reform.

Before joining Latham, Ms. Purohit clerked for District Judge Susan R. Bolton in the District of Arizona (2018-20), and Circuit Judge David F. Hamilton in the United States Court of Appeals for Seventh Circuit (2020-21).

While in law school, Ms. Purohit served as an articles editor on the Indiana Law Journal and as chairperson for the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition Board. Ms. Purohit also externed for District Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel in the Southern District of California.

Prior to law school, Ms. Purohit taught courses in English literature and composition at Indiana University, Bloomington.
