Phoebos Lazaratos is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Practice.

Phoebos advises clients, including banks, private equity sponsors, and major corporations, on debt and equity offerings, such as high-yield bonds and initial public offerings, as well as on other public and private debt and equity transactions. He also advises on leveraged and acquisition financing as well as restructuring and liability management exercises.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Phoebos worked at another major US law firm.

Phoebos’s experience includes advising:

  • BENTELER Group, a global supplier in the automotive, energy, and machinery sectors, on the issuance of a €600 million high-yield bond with an interest rate of 7.25% per annum maturing in 2031 as part of a €2 billion refinancing*
  • BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan SE, Morgan Stanley Europe SE, and UniCredit Bank GmbH, as initial purchasers, on the issuance of Czechoslovak Group's US$1 billion and €1 billion dual-tranche high-yield bonds*
  • Adler Group on:
    • Its successful restructuring, which included amendments to the terms and conditions of certain of its bonds with an aggregate nominal amount of €3.2 billion and the provision of up to €937.5 million of new money funding*
    • A tender offer, refinancing, and consent solicitation in connection with €300 million outstanding senior secured notes due 2026, issued by its wholly owned subsidiary ADLER Real Estate GmbH*
    • A €191 million senior secured bond issuance and tender offer for its €165 million outstanding senior secured convertible notes*
    • A tender offer and consent solicitation in connection with €300 million outstanding senior secured notes due 2024, issued by its wholly owned subsidiary ADLER Real Estate GmbH*
    • An agreement with certain of its bondholders for a comprehensive recapitalization*
  • Meyer Burger Technology AG, a leading manufacturer of premium solar modules and solar cells, on:
    • A capital increase with gross proceeds of CHF 206.75 million*
    • US$39.48 million secured bridge financing with an ad hoc group of existing bondholders*
