Penelope Davey is an associate in the Singapore office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Ms. Davey specializes in a range of cross-border corporate matters, including advising a wide variety of clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestments, auctions, joint ventures, and venture capital financings. 

Ms. Davey has been named in the IFLR Asia Future Leaders 2021 list and is also recognized by IFLR1000 as a Rising Star for M&A in Singapore.

Ms. Davey’s representative experience includes advising:

  • SATS Ltd on its proposed acquisition of Worldwide Flight Services, the world’s largest air cargo handling firm, from an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management, L.P
  • Gojek on several of its recent acquisitions and joint ventures, including its joint venture with Air Asia, its cloud kitchen joint venture with Rebel Foods, its e-commerce joint venture with, its Series A fundraise for GoPlay, and its Series C investment into an Indonesian e-wallet company*
  • Frontier Tower Associates Philippines on its joint venture with KKR to establish a telecom tower platform in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia*
  • Investcorp on its acquisition of a majority interest in Viz Branz, a distributor of F&B brands across China and Southeast Asia*
  • I Squared Capital on its investment into Mateen Cloud Ventures and its associated acquisition and combination of Infofabrica Holdings and Cloud Kinetics, two Singapore-based Cloud migration services companies*
  • JERA Co., Inc. on the sale of its approximately 14% stake in the Paiton Coal Thermal IPP Project in Indonesia to PT Medco Daya Energi Sentosa, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Medco Daya Abadi Lestari*
  • MIND ID on its acquisition of an interest in PT Vale Indonesia, the largest nickel producer in Indonesia, from Vale and Sumitomo*
  • Vena Energy on certain renewables joint ventures in the Philippines*
  • PTTEP on various upstream and downstream oil and gas investments and divestments in Southeast Asia*
  • Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) on its acquisition of a minority interest in CLP India Private Limited*
