Nick Scott is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Project Development & Finance team.

Mr. Scott represents sponsors, procurers, and lenders (including export credit agencies (ECAs), multilaterals, commercial, and investment banks) in connection with project development and finance transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Scott trained and qualified at an international law firm in London where he advised on projects in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Mr. Scott’s experience includes advising:

  • The lenders, including European Investment Bank (EIB), on the project development and financing of the Gate LNG Terminal Expansion in the Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands*
  • The sponsors, led by Électricité de France (EDF) and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), on the project development and financing of the Amaala Utilities Project in Saudi Arabia*
  • Emirates Water and Electric Company (EWEC) on the project development and financing of the S4 reverse osmosis desalination plant in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates*
  • Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) on the project financing of the Jafurah Cogeneration project in Saudi Arabia*
  • A confidential client on all aspects of the procurement and construction of a new megacity in Saudi Arabia*
  • Masdar on the project development and financing of the Dumat Al Jandal wind project in Saudi Arabia*
  • Hidroelectrica de Cahora Bassa on its capex upgrade financing in respect of 2085 MW hydro plant in Mozambique*
