Nathaniel Glynn is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Nathaniel advises clients on complex environmental regulatory issues and the project siting and approvals process, including federal, state, and local permitting. In addition, Nathaniel represents clients in litigation to defend such approvals in federal court, representing developers of a wide variety of major infrastructure projects. Nathaniel also advises clients on the environmental, health, and safety aspects of complex corporate and finance transactions across the energy, digital infrastructure, manufacturing, and real estate sectors. He has experience in matters involving the:

Nathaniel has also previously served as in-house counsel at a utility-scale energy and digital infrastructure developer.

While attending law school at Georgetown University, Nathaniel served as executive editor of the Georgetown Journal of International Law and as Secretary of the Georgetown Environmental Law Society. During law school, Nathaniel was a Legal Extern for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Legal Extern for the US Environmental Protection Agency, and served as a Summer Honors Law Clerk for the Office of General Counsel, US Environmental Protection Agency.

Nathaniel represents clients in a variety of environmental, digital infrastructure, and renewable and conventional energy-related matters, including:

  • Permitting and environmental review for large infrastructure projects, including representation before the US Department of the Interior and other federal, state, and local agencies
  • Leasing and approvals for resource development on federal lands
  • Protected species review of regulatory and permitting actions
  • Defending approvals for energy and infrastructure projects issued by federal and state agencies
  • Advising financial institutions and corporate clients on environmental and regulatory matters
  • Remediation and litigation related to contaminated sites
