Nathan Fuller is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins, where he focuses on intellectual property litigation, including patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation.
Nathan has experience with critical phases of patent and IP litigation, including pre-suit investigations, fact and expert discovery, witness preparation, claim construction, discovery, and dispositive motions in federal district court and before the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). In particular, he has presented oral argument before the PTAB related to patents covering digital signal processing used in semiconductors.
Nathan previously served as a law clerk to Judge Roy S. Payne of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, one of the busiest patent trial dockets in the country. Nathan also assisted Judge Rodney Gilstrap with multiple patent trials while clerking in Marshall. This gives Nathan deep, first-hand knowledge of the Eastern District of Texas, allowing him to advise clients on how best to proceed in this jurisdiction.
Before joining Latham, Nathan was an associate at another major international law firm, where he litigated intellectual property disputes and handled patent prosecution.
