Nadia Patiño is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Ms. Patiño advises companies in the life sciences, technology, and other industries with their capital raising transactions, follow-on and secondary offerings, at-the-market offerings, and private placement financings. She also represents clients on mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, as well as SEC disclosure and reporting requirements and corporate governance matters.

Ms. Patiño also advises investment banks on capital markets offerings.

Ms. Patiño has broad experience in general corporate and transactional matters. Prior to rejoining the firm, she held various in-house counsel positions within Ford Motor Company, was general counsel of Wingcast, a joint venture between Ford and Qualcomm, and was assistant general counsel of the corporate and commercial law groups at Sempra Energy and San Diego Gas & Electric. Ms. Patino utilizes her vast experience to provide her clients with practical and commercially oriented advice.

  • Boundless Bio in its US$100 million initial public offering
  • Avidity Biosciences in its US$400 million private placement financing
  • Tyra Biosciences in its US$200 million private placement financing
  • Icosavax in its US$1.1 billion acquisition by AstraZeneca
  • Prometheus Biosciences in its pending US$10.8 billion acquisition by Merck
  • Icosavax in its US$67.8 million registered direct offering of common stock
  • Ligand Pharmaceuticals in its spin-off of OmniAb in one of the first ever Reverse Morris Trust (RMT) transactions combined with a deSPAC
