Nadia Patiño is an associate in the San Diego office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Nadia advises companies in the life sciences, technology, and other industries with their capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on and at-the-market offerings, and private placement financings. She also represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, as well as SEC disclosure and reporting requirements and corporate governance matters.

Nadia has broad experience in general corporate and transactional matters. Prior to rejoining the firm, she held various in-house counsel positions within Ford Motor Company, was general counsel of Wingcast, a joint venture between Ford and Qualcomm, and was assistant general counsel of the corporate and commercial law groups at Sempra Energy and San Diego Gas & Electric. Nadia utilizes her vast experience to provide her clients with practical and commercially oriented advice.

  • Ligand Pharmaceuticals in its spin-off of OmniAb, in one of the first ever Reverse Morris Trust transactions combined with a deSPAC
  • Prometheus Biosciences in its US$10.8 billion acquisition by Merck
  • Tyra Biosciences in its US$200 million private placement of common stock and pre-funded warrants
