MinJoo Lee advises clients on developing and financing cross-border and domestic energy and infrastructure projects.

MinJoo’s experience consists of US, Latin American, Korean, and other cross-border project development and financing matters involving various industries, including renewable energy and digital infrastructure.

MinJoo maintains an active pro bono practice, advising clients regarding a wide range of legal needs, including immigration and civil rights matters.

Prior to entering private practice, MinJoo served as a volunteer educator with the Chilean Ministry of Education. While in law school, she was a member of the Harvard Immigration Law Clinic, the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic, the Harvard Immigration Project, the HLS Parody, and served as a managing editor of the Harvard International Law Journal.

  • US renewables company on drafting and negotiating a PPA for a 75 MW / 300 MWac solar plus 540 MWh BESS project in Nevada*
  • Broad Reach Power on a US$435 million financing of an 800 MW portfolio of eight utility-scale battery storage projects in Texas and California*
  • US renewables company on a US$200 million senior secured equipment financing of mobile power turbine generator sets in support of its grid stabilization project in Puerto Rico*

Domestic Infrastructure Finance

  • Lenders on a US$290 million refinancing of an open access fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) in Colorado and Minnesota*

Latin American Renewable Energy Matters

  • Group of leading Chilean renewable power generators on negotiating and closing purchase and sale facilities. IDB Invest acted as purchaser of record, and the purchase price is partially financed pursuant to a US$2.4 billion A/B bond. This was awarded “Latin America Bond of the Year – Private Placement” by IJGlobal 2025*
  • Mainstream Renewable Power on its US$1.47 billion cross-border restructuring across four countries to support its renewable energy operations in Chile*
