Michael Chambers retired from the partnership in May 2026. He advised companies, investors, and lenders in a variety of capital-raising transactions. He formerly served as Global Vice Chair of the firm’s Corporate Department.

A prolific dealmaker, Michael navigated hundreds of transactions in all stages of a company’s growth, raising more than US$150 billion on clients’ behalf. With a keen understanding of market practice, he advised an impressive roster of companies, private equity funds, investment banks, and other institutional debt and equity investors in successive transactions across the business life cycle.

He also drew on his decades of experience to provide boards and management teams with a strategic corporate perspective and insight on raising capital at every point in the market cycle.

Michael was regularly recognized by leading publications, including Texas Lawyer, Legal 500, Chambers USA, and The Best Lawyers in America for capital markets and bank finance in Texas and nationally.
