Mengfei Sun is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s global Investment Funds Group. 

Mengfei regularly advises asset managers and institutional investors globally, including in the US, Europe, Middle East, and Asia, on a range of investment fund matters related to fund investments, formation considerations, secondary transactions, marketing restrictions, as well as regulatory, operational, compliance, and governance matters.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mengfei spent a few years in Hong Kong working in leading US-headquartered international law firms and advised institutional investors and asset managers on legal, regulatory, and tax matters in connection with fund formation, fund investments, and secondary transactions. He has also worked in the tax advisory team of a well-known accounting firm in the US prior to his relocation to Hong Kong.
