Melissa Alwang is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Finance Department and the Banking Practice. Ms. Alwang has decade-long experience representing clients in market leading transactions across a broad array of industries, such as industrials, technology, healthcare, and consumer.

She primarily handles the representation of major financial institutions in leveraged finance transactions, including international financings, acquisition financings, debtor-in-possession and exit financings, margin loan financings, and asset-based facilities.

Ms. Alwang handles a variety of transactions for institutions such as J.P. Morgan, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Deutsche Bank.
