Meghana Koenitzer is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Restructuring Practice.

Meghana represents distressed companies, lenders, creditors, and shareholders across various industries in all facets of the restructuring and reorganization process, including chapter 11 bankruptcy and out-of-court debt restructurings. 

Meghana maintains an active pro bono practice, representing veterans with disabilities in partnership with the National Veterans Legal Services Program.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Meghana was a summer associate in the New York office.

Meghana's experience includes advising: 

  • ModivCare Inc., technology-enabled healthcare services company, and its domestic affiliates in their chapter 11 cases in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas and restructuring more than US$1.4 billion of their funded debt
  • IG Design Group Americas, Inc. and affiliated debtors in their chapter 11 cases
  • A leading global provider of tire additive chemical solutions in over US$560 million of cashless roll and recapitalization transactions, involving (i) US$120 million of new-money financing, (ii) maturity extensions across its capital structure, (iii) 100% participation by its existing term lenders and revolving lenders, and (iv) material discount capture
  • Afiniti, Ltd. in its Bermuda restructuring and chapter 15 recognition proceeding in the District of Delaware, addressing more than US$500 million of funded debt obligations (asset transfer to lenders)
  • MOD Pizza, a 500+ restaurant pizza chain, in its out-of-court merger with Elite Restaurant Group
  • Barretts Minerals Inc., a talc manufacturer, in its chapter 11 case in Southern District of Texas
  • The joint liquidators of Three Arrows Capital, Ltd in their liquidation proceedings and chapter 15 cases 
  • Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, a branded and generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, in its prepackaged chapter 11 cases   
  • Monitronics International, a security alarm monitoring company, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • National CineMedia Inc. in the restructuring of National CineMedia LLC through its chapter 11 bankruptcy 
  • Lumileds Holding B.V. and its Dutch and US affiliates in their prepackaged chapter 11 cases, restructuring of more than US$1.7 billion of their funded debt 
  • MD Helicopters in connection with its chapter 11 bankruptcy and sale transaction
