Matthias Haberstig is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Mr. Haberstig primarily advises on corporate transactions, with a particular emphasis on issuances of high yield debt securities.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Haberstig completed an LLM at Columbia Law School in New York, clerked at a district court in Switzerland, and worked for a Swiss law firm in Zurich.

Mr. Haberstig’s experience includes advising:

  • Best Secret, a leading members-only destination for online off-price fashion, in connection with its offering of £315 million senior secured floating rate notes due 2027 and the subsequent tap offering of £35 million of the same notes
  • The dealer managers in connection with the tender offer by Stada of a total aggregate principal amount of €271.857 million of (a) its 5% Senior Notes due 2025, (b) its 7.25% Senior Notes due 2025, and (c) its 3.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2024 
  • The dealer managers in connection with the offer to exchange €1.385 billion of Stada’s outstanding 3.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2024 for €1.385 billion of its new 7.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2026
  • The initial purchasers on Reno de Medici’s (RDM) issuance of €445 million sustainability-linked senior secured floating rate notes due 2026 in connection with the acquisition and take private of RDM by funds managed by Apollo
  • Pinewood Studios, a leading UK film and television studio, in connection with its offering of £300 million 3.375% senior secured notes due 2027
  • Aermont Capital in connection with the acquisition financing of Keepmoat, a UK housebuilding company, including its £275 million senior secured notes offering
  • Ithaca Energy, Inc., upstream oil and gas company focused on North Sea production, in connection with its offering of US$625 million 9% senior notes due 2026
  • The initial purchasers on the €700 million issuance of senior secured notes and senior notes of Klockner Pentaplast, a manufacturer of plastic packaging products
  • The initial purchasers on Aston Martin’s US$98.5 million tap offering of its 10.5% senior secured notes (due 2025)
  • The initial purchasers on the €400 million issuance of 4.75% sustainability-linked senior secured notes and €350 million of sustainability-linked senior secured floating rate notes of Pfleiderer, an international producer of wood-based materials
