Matej Ovečka is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s global Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Matej advises clients on all aspects of EU competition law with particular focus on multinational transactions. He regularly acts on behalf of international corporations in merger review proceedings before the European Commission and competition authorities worldwide.

His experience covers several industry sectors including energy, technology, and industrials.

Prior to joining Latham, Matej worked in the Brussels offices of other global law firms and as a trainee at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.
