Mariela Cisneros is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.
Mariela represents investment managers in the formation, fundraising, and ongoing operation of a variety of private investment funds, including private equity, hybrid, distressed, credit, and other types of alternative asset funds, including in connection with co-investment and direct investment.
Prior to joining Latham, Mariela was an associate at the New York office of another big law firm.
In 2025, Mariela received The Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award in recognition of outstanding pro bono service.
Before beginning her legal career, Mariela taught English in Turkey as a Fulbright Scholar. She was awarded an AnBryce Scholarship to attend NYU Law and is a recipient of the Gates Millenium Scholarship.
