Mariaeugenia Gurdian is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.

Prior to joining Latham, Mariaeugenia clerked for Judge Virginia Hernandez Covington of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Mariaeugenia earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an articles editor for the Georgetown Law Journal, a member of the appellate advocacy team, and participated in the Appellate Courts Immersion Clinic. She also served as president of the Student Bar Association and was the commencement speaker for her graduating class.

During law school, Mariaeugenia externed for Judge Jimmie V. Reyna of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Office of the Legal Adviser at the US Department of State, and the Office of International Affairs at the US Department of Justice.
