Mairin McQueen is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. Her practice focuses on entertainment, sports, and media disputes. Mairin represents media companies, studios, networks, talent, talent agencies, and sports entities in high-stakes litigation and arbitration, from the earliest stages of pre-litigation to appeals. She advises clients on disputes involving copyright, trademark, antitrust and competition, unfair competition, arbitrability, freedom of speech, defamation, talent employment agreements, commercial and consumer contracts, and complex discovery issues. Her work often involves matters with significant public relations, confidentiality, and brand management considerations unique to the entertainment, sports, and media industries. 

Mairin also maintains an active pro bono and firm citizenship practice. She was recognized by the firm’s Inclusion & Opportunity Committee as a 2025 Inclusion Champion, and by the firm’s Pro-Bono Committee as a Guardian of Justice. 

Mairin earned her JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. While attending law school, Mairin represented USC in the American Bar Association’s 2023 National Appellate Advocacy Competition and was a member of USC’s International Human Rights Law Clinic and the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. She also served as president of USC’s chapters of the American Constitution Society and National Lawyers Guild.
