Madeline (Maddy) Yzurdiaga is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.
Maddy represents and advises clients in a variety of complex commercial disputes and class action litigation. She has practiced in state and federal courts and is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation, including researching various legal topics, developing critical facts through discovery, drafting complaints, answers, dispositive motions, and other briefs, working with experts, and taking depositions.
Prior to joining Latham, Maddy was an associate at another national law firm and served as a law clerk to Judge Richard A. Paez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Judge Robert M. Dow Jr. of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and Judge Lindsay C. Jenkins of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Maddy earned her J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she was the Senior Articles Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and the captain of the National Bartlit Center Trial Advocacy Program. While in law school, Maddy served as a member of the Bluhm Legal Clinic, Center on Wrongful Convictions, helping win the freedom of a wrongfully convicted client.
