Lorenzo Meusburger is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Data & Technology Transactions Practice.

Lorenzo advises on M&A, product-counselling and regulatory investigations in the context of data, AI, intellectual property, commercial contracts, consumer protection, platform regulations, telecoms, life-sciences, fintech and other technology matters. 

Prior to qualifying into Latham’s London office, Lorenzo trained at Latham’s Singapore office, where he gained a broad range of experience in data & technology transactions across the Asia-Pacific region, bank finance matters and capital markets transactions, where he advised both issuers and underwriters on a variety of capital markets offerings across Southeast Asia.

Lorenzo also spent time on secondment to Latham’s London office where he advised US and European clients on strategic mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and corporate group restructurings.

  • NATO’s Innovation Fund on privacy, IP, AI and commercial matters in the context of VC investments into various technologies, including space, satellite and quantum computing technology. 
  • NVIDIA on its acquisition of Run:ai, a Kubernetes-based workload management and orchestration software provider. 
  • BC Partners on commercial, IP, IT, and data protection matters for their sale of Synthon, a generic pharmaceuticals business, to Goldman Sachs. 
  • Entrust Corporation on IP, AI and privacy matters for its acquisition of Onfido, a global identity verification business.
  • TPG Capital on privacy and cyber matters for its investment into VEEAM Software. 
  • EssilorLuxottica on data protection and cyber-security matters for their acquisition of Supreme, the clothing and streetwear brand. 
  • Theramex and CVC Capital Partners on commercial, IP, IT, data privacy and cybersecurity matters for their sale of Theramex, a specialty pharmaceuticals business, to PAI Partners and Carlyle. 
  • Novo Holdings on commercial, IP, IT, data protection and separation matters for its carve-out acquisition of Benchmark Genetics, a leader in salmonid genetics, providing eggs and other genetic services to both traditional and land-based aqua-culture farms. 
  • KKR and TDR Capital on data privacy and cyber-security matters for their majority investment in Jaja Finance, a fin-tech company and credit card lender. 
  • Omnicom on privacy and cyber matters for its acquisition of Flywheel Digital from Ascential

  • A client in the software industry on the export control restrictions imposed by the Bureau of Industry and Security in the US Department of Commerce against a multi-national technology company.
  • A South-Korean company on Singapore securities and regulated financial instruments law for its proposed initial token offering.
  • A publicly listed China-headquartered technology and internet group on its roll-out of its cloud services platform in Japan and South Korea.
  • A global bank on its launch of an AI and machine learning based digital community platform to connect businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs.
  • GlaxoSmithKline on its divestment of assets relating to the Bialcol and Cibalgina brands in Italy to Vemedia.
