Shirley Zhang is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Shirley represents and advises private equity firms and corporate clients on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity investments, and general corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Shirley was a mergers and acquisitions associate in the New York office of another leading international law firm. She obtained her JD from Duke University School of Law.

  • I Squared Capital on its acquisition of Priority Power Management, LLC, an independent energy management services and infrastructure consulting firm that provides energy management services and infrastructure solutions for commercial and industrial customers*
  • Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE: ELAN), a US pharmaceutical company and global leader in animal health, on its sale of its aqua business to Merck Animal Health, a division of Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK), for approximately US$1.3 billion in cash*
  • EnCap Investments L.P., a leading private equity firm specializing in the energy industry, on its sale of Broad Reach Power LLC, one of the premier independent utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy platforms in the United States and a portfolio company of EnCap, to the French multinational utility company ENGIE*
  • Cobepa SA, a leading Belgium-based independent private equity investor, on its investment in Ned Stevens, one of the leading gutter cleaning and home maintenance service providers in the United States, from AVALT*
  • Apollomics, Inc., a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company, on its US$899 million definitive agreement for a business combination with Maxpro Capital Acquisition Corp., a Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company*
