Leonid Lepold is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins. He primarily advises clients on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Lepold counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He represents both private and public companies in a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, metals and mining, IT, and telecom.

Mr. Lepold’s experience includes advising:

  • IVI, an online video streaming platform, on a new funding round of US$250 million from external investors and current shareholders
  • MTS Artificial Intelligence in connection with its venture investments in Kneron, an AI chip developer
  • TotalEnergies in connection with its investments in Arctic Transshipment LLC
  • TotalEnergies in connection with its investments in Arctic LNG 2, a significant LNG production project*
  • A sovereign fund in connection with its investments in e-commerce joint venture with Mail.ru Group, Alibaba, and MegaFon*
  • Special Committee of the Board of Directors of MTS in connection with the two-stage acquisition of 68.13% of shares in MTS Bank*
  • KAZ Minerals on its acquisition of the Baimskaya copper project*
  • Nestlé S.A. on local part of its 50:50 joint venture with PAI, a leading French private equity house, to merge Nestlé's ice cream and frozen food business with R&R Ice Cream*
  • Charoen Pokphand Food PCL in relation to acquisition of the poultry farm from Agro-Invest Brinky B.V. for US$680 million*
