Leia Gu is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins, a member of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Practice, and a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. 

Ms. Gu advises on healthcare regulatory and transactional matters involving healthcare providers and life sciences companies, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Ms. Gu also advises clients on healthcare regulatory and compliance matters, including fraud and abuse laws, corporate practice of medicine restrictions, and compliance program development.

Ms. Gu also represents clients in connection with healthcare related investigations, including internal and government investigations and voluntary disclosures.

Ms. Gu earned her JD from the University of Michigan Law School, graduating with honors. During law school, she served as a law clerk for the University of Michigan Office of the Vice President and General Counsel and president of the Health Law Organization. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gu served as an extern for the California Department of Justice.
