Lauren Woo is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Lauren advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters, and her experience spans energy, infrastructure, and healthcare assets.

Before joining Latham, Lauren worked in the London, Brisbane, and Tokyo offices of a global law firm, as well as in-house on secondments to a large mining company and a leading private oncology provider in Australia and the UK.

Lauren's experience includes advising:

  • CVC DIF (DIF Infrastructure V and DIF Infrastructure VI) on its sale of the Cerro Grande and Peralta wind farm projects in Uruguay to Pluspetrol*
  • Chemist Warehouse Group on its proposed (approx. US$8.8 billion) merger with Sigma Healthcare Limited by scheme of arrangement*
  • Infratil and Morrison & Co on its approx. US$700 million acquisition of a 70% stake in diagnostic imaging provider, Qscan Group Holdings, from Quadrant Private Equity and doctors*
  • QIC Global Infrastructure Fund on its approx. US$139 million acquisition of a 75% stake in Nexus Hospitals, Australia’s second-largest day hospital group, from Mercury Capital and doctor shareholders*
  • HBF on multiple matters, including its:
    • Acquisition of private health insurer, Queensland Country Health, from Queensland Country Bank*
    • Acquisition of private health insurer, CUA Health, from Credit Union Australia (now Great Southern Bank)*
  • Japara Healthcare Limited on its approx. US$380 million sale by way of scheme of arrangement to Calvary Health Care*
  • The Commonwealth of Australia (Department of Foreign Affairs) on its financing of Telstra’s acquisition of Digicel Pacific, a telecommunications provider operating in various South Pacific countries*
  • The Commonwealth of Australia (Department of Finance) on its sale of ASC Shipbuilding to BAE Systems and associated sovereignty protections and workforce arrangements*
  • e& in relation to the establishment of a joint venture with Bespin Global*
  • Wesfarmers on its approx. US$774 million acquisition of Australian Pharmaceutical Industries via scheme of arrangement*
  • Softbank Group in relation to the establishment of a joint venture with Bharti Global for solar projects in India*
