Lauren Stern is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Stern represents private equity funds, private equity portfolio companies, and other public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other corporate matters.

She primarily advises clients on domestic and cross-border transactional matters, including acquisitions and divestitures, controlling and minority investments, internal reorganizations, and other strategic transactions across a variety of industries.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Stern was a mergers and acquisitions associate at another international law firm.

Ms. Stern maintains an active pro bono practice, including working with Legal Counsel for the Elderly to draft powers of attorney and wills for low-income seniors.

While attending law school, Ms. Stern served as vice president of the Honor Council and as secretary of the Vanderbilt Bar Association. She also served as an editor for both the Vanderbilt Law Review and the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review.
