Lauren Gaskin represents clients across a broad range of industries in antitrust and competition matters, including regulatory investigations, antitrust risk assessments, and complex litigation. She advises clients on compliance with US antitrust laws, strategic transactions, and conduct-related issues, and assists in responding to government inquiries and enforcement actions.
Lauren draws on extensive experience investigating and litigating proposed mergers in the healthcare device, pharmaceutical, and technology spaces on behalf of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to guide clients on matters involving:
- Pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology sector transactions
- Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act compliance and premerger notification requirements
- Merger investigations and enforcement actions before the FTC and DOJ
- Advocacy relating to competitive effects, innovation markets, and proposed divestiture remedies
Before joining the firm, Lauren served as an attorney in the Merger I Division of the FTC’s Bureau of Competition. While at the FTC, she completed a seven-month detail to the US Attorneys Office in Washington, D.C., where she prosecuted more than 14 bench trials representing victims of crime in the District of Columbia.
