Lady Africa Sheppard is an associate in Latham’s London office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Lady Africa advises UK and international public and private companies and private equity funds on a broad range of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, disposals, financings, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Lady Africa trained and practiced in the corporate department of another international law firm in its London and Montréal offices. She also completed an internship at a leading London fintech startup in the payment services industry, focusing on European and Asian legal and regulatory questions and on worldwide business and partnership development.

Lady Africa has spent time seconded to TotalEnergies’ gas, renewables, and power M&A legal team.
