Kate Lakin is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Finance Department and Structured Finance Practice.
Kate advises clients on a range of complex financing transactions, including mortgage loan repurchase facilities, revolving credit facilities, and securitizations across various traditional and esoteric asset classes.
Kate earned her law degree from American University Washington College of Law, where she was recognized as a Myers Society Distinguished Fellow and Dean’s Fellow, served on the American University Business Law Review and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, and obtained a Certificate in Financial Institutions Compliance. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from George Washington University, with a concentration in International Economics and a minor in Art History.
