Kristine LaVeau is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. LaVeau advises startups and venture capital investors on a wide range of venture capital and emerging company transactions, including financings, corporate lifecycle work, and mergers and acquisitions.

She counsels clients at all stages, from business formation through exit planning. Ms. LaVeau also has experience working with companies in the blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces.

Ms. LaVeau regularly advises on:

  • Corporate governance and investor relations
  • Venture capital financings, from seed stage through late-growth equity
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting and compliance

While earning her law and MBA degrees, she worked at a venture fund and accelerator focused on early-stage financial technology and cybersecurity startups. In this role, Ms. LaVeau worked with emerging, high-potential companies and draws on this experience to deliver business-focused advice to founders and investors.
