Klearchos Nikolaos Lazanas is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Klearchos advises clients on a wide range of EU competition law and regulatory issues, with a focus on merger control.

He advises international corporations and private equity clients on a variety of transactions within the life sciences, financial, and manufacturing sectors.

Prior to joining Latham, Klearchos worked as a trainee lawyer within the competition practice of another international law firm in Brussels.

Klearchos’ experience includes representing:

  • Constantia Flexibles GmbH in its acquisition of Aluflexpack AG before the European Commission
  • A food company in its appeal against a European Commission decision, challenging the refusal to renew the authorization for smoke flavoring primary products
  • Skechers U.S.A., Inc. on its take-private acquisition by 3G Capital
  • OrganOx on its acquisition by Terumo Corporation
  • Coca-Cola HBC on its acquisition of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa
  • Ares Management Corporation on foreign direct investment regarding its acquisition of a minority stake in Plenitude
