Josh Ji is a member of Latham’s Litigation & Trial Department, where he represents a wide range of clients—from startups and Fortune 100 companies to sovereign wealth funds—in major litigation, with an emphasis on handling high-stakes disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, or false / misleading advertising. Josh also handles global trademark enforcement for some of the most recognizable brands.

Prior to joining Latham, Josh was a litigation associate at another leading international law firm. He also served as a judicial extern to Judge Josephine L. Staton (US District Judge for the Central District of California). In addition to maintaining a robust pro bono practice throughout his career, Josh has served his community in the following capacities:

Josh was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and graduated with honors from the UC Irvine School of Law, where he was co-editor-in-chief of the Law Review, a teaching assistant / research fellow for the Dean of the Lawyering Skills program, and a research assistant to Vice Dean Christopher Whytock. Josh received the Faculty Award for obtaining the highest grade in the Civil Procedure course, and his Law Review note analyzing a novel issue of civil procedure has been cited by American Jurisprudence (Am. Jur.) as well as the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Josh also founded the Business Law Society at UCI Law as co-president and served on the Executive Board of the Public Interest Law Fund.
