Jodi Divak serves as Latham’s in-house employment counsel, and she leads a global team providing counsel worldwide. Ms. Divak advises on wide-reaching areas that affect the employment relationship between the firm and its lawyers and business professionals — from hiring, promotions, and compensation, through performance management, employee relations, terminations, and internal investigations, through wage and hour, accommodations, and leaves of absence — to policies and trainings.

Within the firm, Ms. Divak serves as legal advisor to the Associates Committee, the Income Partner & Counsel Committee, the Diversity Leadership Committee, the EEO Review Board Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Recruiting Committee. She also serves as legal advisor for Attorney Support and Development, Global and Local HR, Global Benefits, Office Managing Partners, Directors of Administration, and various partners and managers.

Before joining Latham’s Office of the General Counsel, where she expanded the in-house employment function to focus on her passion — employment law, Ms. Divak spent nine years as general counsel at Geller & Company, a New York City financial services firm, developing the function from scratch. She began her career as employment counsel for a full-service law firm.
