Jennifer M. Kent

Jennifer Kent represents private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporate borrowers in complex debt finance transactions, both US and cross-border.

Jennifer advises on a broad range of financings across the syndicated and private credit markets, such as acquisition financings, first- and second-lien loans, recurring revenue facilities, unitranche loans, and asset-based loans.

She has an equally active practice representing clients in sophisticated liability management exercises, workouts, and special situations, including uptiering transactions, drop-down financings, and other balance sheet restructurings.

With this dual expertise, Jennifer is uniquely positioned as an “all-weather” advisor, helping borrowers capitalize on opportunity in times of strength and steering them through periods of stress. She pairs deep technical fluency in complex credit documentation with more than a decade of dealmaking experience to craft creative solutions for her clients.

A recognized leader at the firm and in the industry, Jennifer served as a Global Chair of Latham’s Black Lawyers Group and is a former member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee.
