Jemima Abate is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins. 

Jemima advises clients across a wide range of areas of UK and EU competition law, including:

  • Merger control 
  • Competition compliance 
  • Various regulatory matters

Prior to qualifying into the Antitrust & Competition team, Jemima trained in the London office, gaining experience in the Corporate (Private Equity), Litigation & Trial, and Real Estate Finance departments. 

Jemima serves on the London office’s Charity Committee. Jemima also maintains an active pro bono practice, in particular regarding DARA and RCJ matters. 

Jemima’s experience includes advising:

  • Bridgepoint and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in obtaining merger control clearance for the sale of the respective controlling shareholdings in Dorna Sports S.L. to Liberty Media in a transaction that values the company at €4.2 billion
  • AMD in its multi-jurisdictional applications in relation to its acquisition of ZT Systems, a leading provider of AI infrastructure for the world’s largest hyperscale computing companies
