Jeffrey Moran retired from the partnership in November 2021. His practice focused on secured lending for more than 30 years. He primarily represented lenders in the structuring and origination of secured financing transactions, including:

  • Acquisition financing
  • Second lien and mezzanine financing
  • Debtor-in-possession financing
  • Working capital financing
  • Asset-based financing
  • Project financing

Mr. Moran also had extensive experience representing lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of debt restructuring, workout, and bankruptcy related transactions as well as in transactions involving the securitization of various types of financial assets.

Mr. Moran served for more than 10 years on the firm's Finance Committee, where he served as the Local Chair in the Chicago office. Mr. Moran also served on the firm's Global Opinions and Confirmations Committee and the Finance Opinions and Confirmations Committee. In addition, Mr. Moran is the former Co-Chair of the Chicago Finance Department. While in law school, Mr. Moran served on the senior editorial board of The Michigan Law Review.
