Jeffrey Mispagel is a counsel in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. He is a member of the Finance Department and the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.

Jeffrey represents distressed companies, lenders, creditors, and shareholders in distressed situations, 
including chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and assignments for the benefit of creditors.  His practice includes restructurings spanning diverse industries, such as retail and consumer products, energy, and pharmaceuticals.

  • First Mode Holdings, Inc., a multinational developer and manufacturer of decarbonization solutions for heavy industry, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings

  • Mallinckrodt plc, a biopharmaceutical company, in its 2020 and 2023 chapter 11 
  • Starry Group Holdings, an internet service provider network, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • Sundance Energy, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company operating in the Eagle Ford Shale, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 proceedings
  • GNC, a leading global health and wellness brand, in connection with its chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • Monitronics International, a security alarm monitoring company, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • The official committee of unsecured creditors in the bankruptcy proceedings of Synergy Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company
  • Illinois Power Generating Company, a merchant electricity generation business in Illinois, in its pre-packaged chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
